Get ready for a giant Easter adventure the whole family will love! Explore the park with treats, crafts, and surprises from our exciting Egg Stations along the trail.
Hop from activity to activity and enjoy:
- Making colourful flower bombs
- Playing the "What Came First?" egg challenge
- Decorating decoupage eggs
- Outdoor craft activities
- Helping Bracken the Bunny on a family geocache trail
- Meeting Ffion the Fairy at the Giant Storytelling Chair
- Ride the miniature train and spot the birds
…and plenty more surprises along the way!
Follow your Eggstravaganza map, discover the stations hidden across the park, and fill your egg box with Easter magic as you go.
This event if free however, charges apply for museum adult entry and train rides.
The event is being delivered in partnership with Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Merthyr's Roots, Merthyr Tydfil and District Naturalists Society, Oriel Bothy Gallery, Halo Leisure, Community Focussed Schools, Gwent Wildlife Trust, RCT People First, Cyfarthfa Miniature Railway and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
No parking will be available on the castle forecourt – please use the car park next to the Bothy. If you can, don’t bring a car and hop along to Cyfarthfa.
Bothy Spring Spectacular
The is will be followed by the ‘Bothy Spring Spectacular’ from 5pm to 7pm at the Oriel Bothy Gallery.
Fantastic new pieces of art by local artists on display, with music, refreshments & nibbles.
