Following last year's successful route change, the Merthyr Half Marathon returns to the grounds of the iconic Cyfarthfa Castle on Sunday 22 March.
Supporters and spectators of the half marathon can enjoy activities at Cyfarthfa Park and Castle to celebrate and cheer on the runners as they pass through the park.
This will include craft activities, a busker, choir and other family fun from 9.30am until 11am. Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery will be open from 10am.
With approximately 750 runners expected - many raising vital funds for local and national charities - your cheers make all the difference!
The route will cause some temporary changes to the usual traffic routes. Road closures will be in operation on Cyfarthfa Road and Brecon Road from 9.30am to 10.40am and there will be no vehicle access in to, out of or around Cyfarthfa Park between 9.45am and 10.45am. No parking will be available on the castle forecourt – please use the car park next to the Bothy.
