Jess Mahoney

Made in Merthyr Tydfil, Jess has spent over fifteen years working across the culture and heritage sector and creative economy. Passionate about partnerships, people, places and purpose, her previous positions include roles at The British Library, National Dance Company Wales and Central School of Ballet, alongside working at a variety of UK festivals and culture-led events. From 2019-2022 she held a senior policy role at Greater London Authority delivering the Mayor of London’s flagship Creative Enterprise Zones programme. More recently she was based at Cardiff University’s Centre for the Creative Economy as Head of Creative Cardiff – a creative industries network of 5,000+ businesses and individuals that undertakes research, policy and engagement work to deliver a vision of southeast Wales region as a connected, collaborative and inclusive cultural cluster.
